Conditions on 28 MHz... Wed 10th Apr 2019

There was another Sporadic-E opening on 28 MHz on the 10th of April with a few interesting signals. It often felt during the day that the band was just about open. Beacons would appear on the band as the MUF rose and then disappear again.

In terms of DX, both VP8LP and VP8EME were heard on the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic. Neither appeared on my heard list on the PSKReporter website.

Closer to home, there were plenty of signals from around Europe...

Some stations here caught my eye.
1) EW3AA... I usually don't hear Belarus on Sporadic-E. At 2174 kms and near the Polish border, he was close enough for me to hear with one hop on Sp-E.

2) YO7DBR... I heard this station in Romania at the same time I was hearing CW beacons in Germany. At 2557 kms, it is too long for one hop Sp-E so this was likely to be the first double-hop Sporadic-E of 2019 for me.

CW Beacons... These are the CW beacons that I heard...
