Saturday the 25th of May 2019. I came across this mystery beacon on 28.319.0 MHz which gave out the following message...
VVV VVV PALIAR MICRO BEACON ALPI K
Besides the lack of a callsign, there was huge drift on the signal.
If you examine the spectrum to the left, you can see that the signal started high and then drifted about 300-400 Hz as it sent out its message.
It was quite difficult to decode with the chirp and the signal was weak and buried in the noise.
I'm assuming it is a beacon in the Italian Alps but I don't know. I was hearing other very low power Italian beacons around the same time.
Any ideas??
